The Lansdowne Pub was likely designed by a brilliant but impatient alcoholic. You can almost always get a drink here quickly — even when the joint is packed with baseball fans, people dancing to live music, and scalpers cruising for spare tickets. Come to think of it, this cozy behemoth is probably the closest thing the Fenway ’hood has to a beer garden, its endless oak-slab tabletops fit for pint after spilled pint. And don’t worry about getting too sideways: between the helpful barkeeps and the alcohol-absorbing stick-to-your-ribs smorgasbord of a menu, you might even leave in better shape than the Sox pitching staff.
