That's why I don't think people should bum out when they're like, "Oh my God, I work at a temp office, that's so depressing." Nothing is ever going to feel totally awesome unless it's your own thing. I think starving for your art is stupid, and being able to meet your needs and have some self esteem around that is probably going to make you a better performer. My life used to be temping, writing stuff on weekends. You kind of have to have no life, but I think that weeds out the good from the bad, or the dedicated from the not dedicated.
