In PSY, by the Montreal new-circus company Les 7 Doigts de la Main (presented by ArtsEmerson), neurotics imagine themselves in various states of levitation, distortion, and super-physicality. Each of the 11 artists plays both a mental patient and a psychiatrist. As the patients start telling their stories to their shrinks, the stage blossoms into splendid fantasies. Gloom and apprehension explode into mass-engineered chaos and survival.
