Not a comedian per se, Roots drummer Ahmir Thompson has nonetheless established himself as a serviceable comic foil to Jimmy Fallon, on whose late-night show his group is house band. (He sometimes makes understated guest appearances in Fallon's faux-reality show, 7th Floor West.) For what it's worth, he also a witty — and maniacally prolific — Twitterer.
