Despite feeling really full, it was time for dessert. None of my friends had tried deep-fried Oreos, so that was an obvious choice. We generously sprinkled them with powdered sugar and cinnamon — two of my friends remarked, nearly in unison: "This is ridiculous." Of course it is. On our way to check out the horse pulling competition we passed a vendor advertising deep-fried Twinkies and whoopie pies. I really wished I had room to try the latter, but then again, you can't win every time at the fair.
