The two kitchen-made desserts were listed on the specials menu, so apparently they change. Cornbread shortcake ($4.95) was an imaginative variation, served with vanilla ice cream. Also with a scoop on the side were churros a la mode ($2.99), a sweet treat common in many countries by many names: fried dough sprinkled with sugar and, in this case, cinnamon. Sounded good. Maybe next time.
