My grilled (and pounded) chicken breast was quite tasty, though the rabe was tough (it's a tricky vegetable, isn't it?). Also on the "plate" were sliced tomatoes and thick wedges of mozzarella, so those two, with some chicken, made fine sandwiches at home.
The dinner offerings are limited (all under $13), but one could expect decent home cooking and large amounts of it, as with the other items we sampled. There's veal, chicken, or eggplant parmesan; veal or chicken cutlets with brown gravy and mashed potatoes; a pasta of the day with meatballs or sausage; a baked ham dinner; and a clam strip dinner.
Wednesdays also feature fish and chips; a turkey dinner on Thursdays; and baked scrod, fried scallops, and fish and chips on Friday. And on Wednesday and Thursday evenings, diners get a free dessert with a dinner entrée. What more could you ask of such a family-friendly place?
