In other SN news, cans of Pale Ale and tallboys of Torpedo are in stores, significantly improving the options for cooler-filling. And look for another edition of the Best of Beer Camp Variety Pack in August, which includes four innovative brews concocted at the brewery's annual gathering of extreme beer geeks.

ON THE TOWN

Julian's (318 Broadway, Providence) will present a "Founders Is Finally in RI Tap Takeover" tonight (the 22nd). They'll have Centennial IPA, Red's Rye PA, Dirty Bastard, Double Trouble, and (wait for it . . .) KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout)! The semi-legendary (some would say mythical) ale is cave-aged in oak bourbon barrels for a year before it emerges in its frustratingly limited release. There won't be any bottles in stores, and there only three others kegs in the state. Bob Kaiser, Founders' national chain account manager, will be there to talk beer and pass along some goodies, starting at 9 pm. Expect a bit of a crowd . . . .

And Revival Brewing is one of the sponsors for the Revival Tour, the punky/rootsy song circle which pulls into Fête on March 29 (see 8 Days a Week on page 12 for details). Great music + great beer = a great combination: they'll be pouring Saison, Double Black IPA, Dry Irish Stout, and an Imperial IPA. Check their Facebook page for updates about the night's festivities.
