BEERVANA 2013 COMMEMORATIVE BEER – “Prasada”


Brewed at Trinity Brewhouse by Walker Brothers Brewing in conjunction with Revival Brewing Co, Trinity Brewhouse, and the Beervana Fest team.


Prasada -Fresh Version - A strong dark Belgian ale fermented with Saison yeast and hopped with a blend of American and Noble hops.  Earthy and dark fruity flavors emerge from a lively carbonation and full bodied sip.

Prasada - Barrel Aged Version - A few short weeks of Bourbon Barrel aging gives this beer a smoothed out caramel and vanilla finish.  Notes of dried plums, earthy spice and coconuts lead the way throughout this complex and rewarding beer.

White - Unfiltered Belgian Style Wit Beer 5% ABV

Golden Brett - Belgian Style Golden aged in Oak Foudre fermented with House Brett 7.2% ABV

Midnight Brett - Belgian Dark brewed w/ Midnight Wheat fermented with House Brett 7.3% ABV

James Bean - Bourbon Barrel Aged Belgian Strong Ale infused with Cold Press Coffee 10.3% ABV

FV13 - Sour Brown aged in Oak Foudre for 4 years 8.9% ABV

Curieux - Belgian Strong Golden aged in Bourbon Barrels 11% ABV

 

BERKSHIRE BREWING COMPANY

2012 Holidale Barleywine - 2012 Vintage - brewed to carry aromas of bread, spice, and dried fruit, along with a grassy and fresh hop character from the aggressive use of locally grown Magnum hops from MA. 9.5% ABV

2011 Russian Imperial Stout - 2011 Vintage - this black-as-night stout offers a velvety and smooth mouthfeel combined with strong notes of chocolate, coffee, licorice, and dark fruit 8.5% ABV

Scotch Ale - this traditional Scotch Ale has a sweet character with subtle hints of smokiness.  The sweetness creates a smooth and lingering finish, helping to hide the higher level of alcohol that we all desperately need to survive autumn. 7% ABV

Rum Barrel Aged Sour Shabadoo -  Our traditional blend of Drayman’s Porter and Berkshire Traditional Pale Ale takes a wild turn as it has been soured in Berkshire Mountain Distillers’ Ragged Mountain Rum barrels.  An extremely rare and unique offering from BBC. 6.8% ABV


BFM (Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes)

Sqrt 225-Brewed for BFM's 15th Anniversary! This is a Belgium style saison matured in third use Abbaye de Saint Bon Chien barrels for 4 months. 5% ABV

La Quatorze {XIV} - BFM's 14th Anniversary brew! A Wheat Doppelbock brewed with coffee beans and Sorachi Ace and Saphir hops. Same style as the Schneider Aventinus but very unique execution. 7.5% ABV

La Douze - BFM's 12th year Anniversary Brew brewed with Fleur de sel from Guerande /Bretagne, France. 6.5% ABV

Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chien - Boldly treading the boundary between port, wine and beer, this beer is a unique ale aged in wooden casks which have been used for several years before to age Merlot, Merlot Cabernet, Whisky and then Grappa. It manages to merge into this beer all the complex aromas of a vintage red wine along with the delicate harmony and flavors of the wood and its former contents. The final version is blended from different casks, to ensure optimal balance, complexity and enjoyment! 11.5% ABV

BROOKLYN BREWERY

Cuvee la Boite - Belgian inspired Grand Cru-style ale spiced with kaffir lime leave, Espellette peppers and MishMish (lemon, saffron, crystalized honey).  Spiced blend was decided by Lior Lev Sercarz, the "Spice Whisper", owner of NYC spice shop La Boite. 8.2% ABV

2012 Monster Ale - English-style barleywine, R.I.P. Monster the Cat 1999-2012 10.1% ABV

BLAST- Brooklyn is half way between the hop fields of England and the PNW, so we use hops from both regions to create this unique IPA. Hops: Willamette, Magnum, Cascade, Fuggle, Aurora, Zythos, Bravo, Simcoe, Sorachi Ace, Amarillo, Experiment 6300  8.4% ABV

Silver Anniversary Lager - Brooklyn Lager Intensified (Doublebock) Our 25th anniversary beer, a bigger, maltier, hoppier version of our classic Lager. 100% refermented in the bottle 9% ABV

Brooklyn Greenmarket Wheat - Brewed from 70% New York State grown wheat, Accented with orange peel, local honey and a dash of coriander.  Only available in NYC  5.5% ABV

B. UNITED INTERNATIONAL INC

Zymatore Beer – TBD - The Zymatore Project spearheaded by B. United International, Oxford CT is their endeavor to create liquids of unheard flavors and aromas that destroy the boundaries of beer, wine, mead, cidre and spirits. Using barrels of the highest quality and pedigree from acknowledged leaders in the wine and distillation crafts, they take beers and meads to new and unexplored levels.  What may seem like unlikely combinations of liquids and barrels are designed to create new flavors & aromas that transcend conventional definitions. 

iQhilika Fig Mead Makana Meadery, South Africa -  iQhilika Cape Fig Mead tempers the sweetness of the honey with the delicious fruit notes of fig and it was transported via a Thelema Vineyard Merlot Wine Barrel and thus it has allowed for a slightly barrel aging that provides a very unique result. 12% ABV

De Dues Tocatta Cerveses de Dues, Spain - Made with 50% pale ale barley malt and 50% whisky malt. A caramel color with wood and dry grapes on the nose with some herbal quality due to the hops used. Powerful, sweet and reminiscent of fine sherries. 11% ABV

Poire Cidre Christian Drouin, France -The lightness and elegance make Christian Drouin Poire a traditional drink of Normandy. Its fine bubbles are naturally produced in the bottle and with its delicate marriage of crisp acidity and discreet sweetness Poire is both refreshing and festive. 5% ABV

Modus Operandi (M.O.) Wild Beer Company, UK - Old Ale + Oak Aged for 90 days + Wild Yeast - This is the beer that says who we are, a Wild beer, an untamed beast that thrives on the unpredictability of wild yeast and the subtlety and complexity of maturation in oak. Time is the final ingredient - we allow 90 days for the magic of the wild yeast and the oak to transform an old ale into a beer that is wildly different. On this occasion - they used single bourbon barrel with the base beer for M.O and then added brett. 7% ABV

Beerbera Birrificio Loverbeer, Italy - Ale brewed with Barbera wine grapes and matured in oak barrels. Brewed once a year at vintage time. 8% ABV

Gregorious Trappist Monastery Stift Engelszell, Austria - Named after Abbot Gregorius Eisvogel -- a special recipe incorporating organic honey from local beehives around St. Engelszell as well as the unique use of an “Alsacian wine yeast”. 9.4% ABV


FIRESTONE WALKER BREWING COMPANY

Parabola - barrel aged Russian imperial stout.  Bold Bourbon, tobacco and espresso aromas and a hint of American oak greet the nose.  Rich, chewy roasted malts, charred oak and bourbon-like vanilla attack the palate and finish with a bang. 13% ABV, 82 IBUs

Sucaba - barrel aged barley wine.  Big boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combined with soft chocolate malty undertones. Complex malt flavors framed in oak, with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coconut and just a touch of dark cherry. 13% ABV, 42 IBUs

DDBA - barley wine.  DDBA is our flagship beer brewed at double strength. English caramel malts lend rich toffee character that pairs well with assertive medium toast American oak barrels. 12% ABV, 29 IBUs

Wookey Jack - unfiltered black rye IPA.  Rich dark malts and spicy rye careen into bold citrus laden hops creating a new dimension in IPA flavor. 8.3% ABV, 80 IBUs

Walkers Reserve Porter - Robust Porter Walker’s Reserve is an elegant dark ale featuring robust flavors of toffee, caramel and bittersweet chocolate. This brew employs five specialty malts, as well as oat and barley for added complexity and flavor. 5.8% ABV, 45 IBUs

FOOLPROOF BREWING COMPANY

Rain Stick – Oak-aged Raincloud Robust Porter - A variation on our popular porter, new oak notes add to this this rich and flavorful porter, which is brewed with two-row, roasted barley, black patent, Special B, and cara Munich malts as well as a subtle blend of European hops. 6.5% ABV

La Ferme Urbaine (LFU) – Farmhouse Ale– Influenced by the Belgian saison style, LFU features a complex blend of German hops, pilsener and pale malts, wheat, rye, oats, and spelt. The beer pours a hazy straw color and delivers a spicy, dry finish. 7.8% ABV

Prince of the Yahd – IPA– Combining elements of our Backyahd IPA and King of the Yahd Imperial IPA, the Prince features a lighter body and lower ABV than the King but showcases the same complex dry hop profile. The beer is served cask-conditioned in a firkin. 6% ABV

Donkey Jote – Imperial Nutbrown– We gave our senior brewer, Noah Hershey, free reign to brew this one-off brew. The unique nutbrown, features dark malts, nutmeg, and a primary hop addition in a homemade hopback  9% ABV

FOUNDERS BREWING COMPANY

Frangelic Mountain Brown  was both Founders' first brown ale as well as our first beer brewed with hazelnut coffee.  The beer has distinct aromatics with sweet and nutty flavors, beautifully balanced and comes in at a 9% ABV

Imperial Stout - This stout is brewed with 10 varieties of malted barley which leads to a smooth as silk, yet complex and rich in body brew. 10.5% ABV, 90 IBUs

KBS (Kentucky Breakfast Stout) - is an imperial stout brewed with massive amounts of coffee and chocolates.  We then cave age this beer in oak bourbon barrels for an entire year to make sure the wonderful bourbon undertones come through in the finish.  11.2% ABV, 70 IBUs

Backwoods Bastard - our interpretation of a Scotch ale aged in Oak Bourbon Barrels which leads to warm smells or single malt scotch, oaky bourbon barrels, smoke, sweet caramel and roasted malts, a bit of earthy spic and a scintilla of dark fruit.   10.2 % ABV and 50 IBUs. 

2012 Old Curmudgeon – 2012 Vintage (see below)

2013 Old Curmudgeon - This Old Ale is brewed with molasses and has an insane focus on the malt bill, then oak aged.   The result is a strong, rich, malty delight that’s deceptively smooth and drinkable. 9.8% ABV, 50 IBUs

Mango Magnifico - high gravity fruit beer brewed with mango and a touch of Michigan-grown habaneros.  This beer is not a traditional fruit beer, the delicate tropical fruit is punctuated by a hint of heat, increasing the overall depth of flavor and adding another level of complexity. 10% ABV
