THURSDAY MAY 3QUEER CINEMA
While shows like Glee are baby-stepping strong gay characters into the mainstream media (aren't we there yet?), we're still glad there are excellent film programs like the annual BOSTON LGBT FILM FESTIVAL out there to provide avenues for fine films that tell the all-too-often untold stories. Ranging from the humorous to the outrageous to the achingly beautiful, the films in this 10-day program are worth checking out. This year, the festival will be held at the Institute of Contemporary Art, 100 Northern Ave, Boston| May 3-13 | $10; $8 students | icaboston.org.
