Could be verse: poetry ripped from the headlines
By JAMES PARKER  |  December 19, 2007

Supernaturally knowing cats, of whom none may inquire —
all ember-lipped, and each ear tipped with a tint of angelic fire.

Much sympathy with earthly things these cats do not possess:
The world in all her multitude has failed to impress.
Quite over it, they quietly sit, and spookily fluoresce.
