After burping out a series of noxious spoofs from Date Movie to Epic Movie to Meet the Spartans, Jason Friedberg and Aaron Seltzer might, you'd hope, be ready to return to the Comedy Central kind of humor seen in Scary Movie. But with Vampires Suck, a collage of slaps at Twilight, Jersey Shore, and anything that's been on the cover of People this year, the directors only add to their dungpile.
Becca Crane (Jenn Proske), a mutated-wench version of Kristen Stewart's Twilight protagonist, must endure Jacob White (Chris Riggi) and Edward Sullen (Matt Lanter), two slapstick rejects who pine for her affections and her blood. This is less a parody and more a breezy compilation of vampire flicks that gets no life from its D-list comedians.
Will it top Rotten Tomatoes' worst of the worst at year's end? If anyone still remembers it by then, it'll be the leading candidate.
