Two years ago, Roger McCord was sitting on a Maine beach and saw a plane overhead, dragging an advertising banner behind it. "I want to get on that plane," he said to himself. And get on it he did, armed with a camera and a rather contagious sense of enthusiasm, to film Flyin' John. The final product takes viewers over the shores of Southern Maine's beaches, and into the head of a guy who's maybe not so used to bombing around the skies in a tiny plane. McCord, incidentally, submitted no fewer than six films to our film festival, making him one of the most prolific filmmakers to enter the contest (but, surprisingly, only tying him for top-output honors). His creative productivity is impressive (and possibly insane).Watch the video: Flyin' John
