What kind of person would dedicate his or her life to creating "Art Cars," vehicles that have been transformed into mobile art installations by their proud owners? Harrod Blank, himself the creator of a camera-covered van that photographs the expressions of bewildered onlookers (he's also the son of Les Blank, who made Burden of Dreams and Werner Herzog EatsHis Shoe), explores this question in a light-hearted look at dozens of auto fetishists and the passions that drive their creations. But the real stars of this breezy ride are the vehicles themselves, from Uri Geller's bent-spoon-and-fork-covered Cadillac to the hamburger-shaped motorbike that symbolizes America for a German ex-pat who's spent his life savings on this monument to capitalism. USA!
