And here’s a fond farewell to sonic-rock instrumentalists NATURE/NURTURE, who are calling it quits with one last show back home at the New Wave Cafe in New Bedford (508.984.0080), with THE BROTHER KITE, MAST, and MOTHER NIGHT supporting. Punk locals SENIOR DISCOUNT start off SATURDAY (the 26th) with an early set at Club Hell (show at 7 pm) with Boston’s POWERGLOVE, who have cornered the “video game-metal” genre; all ages, call 401.709.3923. SIX EYES (both feature clients from RI’s Resources for Human Development), call 401.454.4581. And don’t forget “PINTS FOR PAWS” at Nick-a-Nee’s, benefiting our pals at the Providence Animal Rescue League, with plenty of daytime fun for the kids followed by live music from THE WIPPETS, CRAIC WAS MIGHTY, THE FATHOMS, and more, all led by MC Rudy Cheeks. Call 401.861.7290 for details. No genre left behind on SUNDAY (the 27th), including SANTA MAMBA at the Atlantic Beach Club in Middletown (401.847.2750), Provy turntablist DJ STERBYROCK warming up the room for TONY TOUCH at Jerky’s; 18+ , call 401.621.2244.
