Over the past few years, several collections of Burgess and his Pacers' classic recordings have been reissued in Europe, where rockabilly remains, if not exactly king, at least a member of rock's royal court, with large festivals and revival tours devoted to the music that typically feature the dwindling population of the music's originators. The Boston show is part of a rare run through the Northeast that also includes shows in Portland, New Haven, New York City, and Allentown. And though Burgess is in hale condition, he jokes, "If you haven't seen me in a while, or you've never seen me, you might not want to wait too long."
