"Music itself is autobiographical," says Chiddy, grabbing the phone. "When I get more introspective — like I do on the song 'Sooner or Later,' which is about Nigeria, where my family is from — it's because real things are going on in my life. When it comes down to it, a lot of it is just us expressing a yearning to remain natural and true to ourselves through this transition from making music in a dorm to doing shows all over the world and working with renowned artists."
