8. KINGS OF LEON, "RADIOACTIVE" | It took only a year for "Use Somebody" to shift me from total indifference to moderate loathing. The song wasn't terrible, just utterly vacant, void and without form. This one isn't terrible either, and it's got a little more going on. If I hear it 50 more times on the radio, maybe it'll bump me back up to indifference.
9. SWITCHFOOT, "THE SOUND (JOHN M. PERKINS' BLUES)" | Thanks for the civil-rights anthem, Switchfoot! If you're gonna suck — and you are definitely gonna suck — you might as well suck for a good cause. If you're wondering why the word "Blues" is in the title of this Filter-sounding rock lump, the answer appears to be that they're singing about a black person.
10. PHOENIX, "LISZTOMANIA" | Still the same song it was last year; still pretty dope. Keep up the good work, song.
