COLD WAR KIDS | House of Blues | March 22 | Cold War Kids are strange. The God-fearing California dudes are one of those weird, post-millennial, indie bands that, when stripped down to each component, sound pretty much like a bunch of other bands that broke out of the guitar revival of five years ago. Yet smashed together by the rock-and-roll overlords, the soulful Cold War Kids create some of the more-memorable throaty, lo-fi rock anthems. Shit, we couldn't get "Hang Me Out To Dry" out of our heads for years until lead Mine Is Yours (Downtown) single, "Louder Than Ever," dropped a few weeks ago. Put it on your ringtone.
