• Psychedelia purveyors PLANETS AROUND THE SUN are ready to take off on a year-long tour of North America, having played a swan-song at the Oak and the Axe last week. Find them on Bandcamp and help them out with an album purchase, or a suggestion of a commune they could play along with way, if you've got a spare moment.

• Former Portlander ADAM KURTZ, now in LA, has just released a new EP, Wrought Iron EP, the last in the "Unreleased Seasides" three-EP series. According to Kurtz, this "demonstrates the prettier, fireside side of Kurtz's songwriting." Find him on Bandcamp to check it out. He'll be back in town shortly for a hometown gig.
