The record, as a whole, is a meditation on trauma, inebriation, lost friends, and lost weekends, with a silver lining of leaving the pain in the past and celebrating today and tomorrow. "Everything now feels like a blessing," Anderson says nervously. "Because I already gave up and came back. Do you know what I mean? I already felt the heartbreak and the failure and came to terms with that — so now, I'm just happy to work, and it feels like a blessing."
