Across the bay, God Harvest hold down Pinellas County with a mélange of political grind, hardcore, and powerviolence. Their 2011 demo, sold out on tape but available for free download from their Web site, hints at considerable promise, echoing Trap Them with a burlier vocal attack. Meanwhile, Mayo's Escapist look to build on their Sinking Ship EP (link to MediaFire download), a seething record that lurches along with a Today Is the Day bent.
"People might look down on the scene in Florida," says Mayo, "but we seriously have some awesome bands coming out right now that are well worth noting, and people would be unwise to overlook them."
