Think of how impossible it is to recapture the feeling of listening to a great record for the first time. The music of Bunny's a Swine conveys that sense of discovery. It's in their self-aware portrayal of everyday, disturbing mundanity and the down-to-earth earnestness with which they approach their work. It's the sound of hearing something again as if for the first time — a fresh start, a chance to marvel once more.
"And in 20 years, with whatever the fuck is going on," says Clement, "maybe somebody finds these [records] and goes 'Oh, shit, all these bands had this interconnected network.' Which is what we have right now."
