PAUL LIEBERMAN | On his self-released Ibeji, saxophonist-flutist Lieberman's idea was to get "an American rhythm section to play Brazilian compositions in a jazz style, and a Brazilian rhythm section to play American compositions in an American style." It works. The former first-call Rio de Janeiro session man has been a boon to the rich Boston Brazilian music community.
