PRIMATE POP Turn off the lights and watch the skuzzy surf-pop of Darling Pet Munkee glow in the dark January 14 at Radio. |
Like clockwork, Old Man Winter is here to fuck us up something proper. But between the frigid now and March's South-by-Spring Break — a two-and-a-half month stretch of shoveling shit for snow in the driveways of Somerville, the alleys of Cambridge, and the dirty streets of Allston — we don our rock parkas and embrace the chilly. Cinderella once warned us of a Long Cold Winter, but that doesn't mean new, uplifting Boston sounds can't get sprung before spring. Here are 10 record-release parties from both newcomers and veterans of our city, dropping new music from now until March's thaw.
