A dozen fresh faces on Boston's music scene
RULECLASS OF 2012 TRACK • "BLOODLETTER" [Listen] [Download]
Although you wouldn't necessarily be inc orrect in calling Rule a "super group" — bloodlines extend to local luminaries like Bang Camaro, Township, Damn Personals, Dirty Truckers, and BrownBoot — it would perhaps be selling the veteran metal crew short. Although Rule played their debut show back in November, Jim Zavadoski (bass), Greg Beadle (drums), Mike Soltoff (vocals), and John Brookhouse (guitar) are no strangers to Boston's rock scene, and they want to get recorded music out to the people as they cruise the club circuit. An EP should be out before spring, led by the confident jean-clad assault of "Bloodletter" (unveiled a day before their first gig). Rule's brash, bold, and unrelenting heavy-metal thunder should shake this city to its identity-crisis core. Boston is supposed to be a rock-and-roll town, right? These dudes will prove it.
