And of course, there's Pinsky's verse, as rich as the polyglot immigrant music of his childhood that he describes in "The Window": "We took their language in our mouth and chewed." That one comes with a lightning-fast riff from Hobgood, whereas "Street Music" conjures an Egyptian marketplace with "Arabic" minor scales. But Pinksy says we shouldn't expect the same thing at the show. "I know I'd be disappointed if we just reproduced it," Pinsky says. After all, it's jazz.
