Primed 4 SXSW ’12

By MICHAEL MAROTTA  |  March 9, 2012

TRUST | Listen: "Sulk"| More from Canada, more from a male/female duo, more angst-addled electro-pop, but that's certainly OK when shit is as grittily polished as Trust. A bit like Crystal Castles, but don't hold it against them. Robert Alfons and Maya Postepski's debut 2012 record is a blaster, black-neon dance tracks from the undead — a spectacle that doesn't really seem to fit SXSW's aesthetic, but that's besides the point. They might play to a dozen people in Austin, but each will leave with a new obsession.
