"We talked a lot about Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s vision for a non-violent community that he called a 'Beloved Community,' " she said. "I wanted to go to a writer's retreat on Star Island in New Hampshire, and some people from the congregation gave donations to help me pay for the retreat and wanted me to write something I could perform at the church."
Natalie Merchant comes to mind whenever I spin "Seeds," which was just re-released digitally and will be a part of a vinyl EP in the works tentatively titled Skybound & Anchored.
