A real cut-up

By MIKE MILIARD  |  September 23, 2008

And so the songs keep coming. “I write ’em on my acoustic, into the boombox, and I’ll send ’em to Chris, or send ’em to [producer] Todd [Tobias], and they’ll do the music. And then when they’re done, they’ll send it back to me, mixed, and I’ll do the vocals and it’s finished. It just frees me up to create constantly instead of having to worry about being in the studio. I work quickly. I just want the song to be there and go onto the next one.”
