Blues in abundance tonight (the 23rd) with the TIM TAYLOR BAND taking the stage at the Greenwich Hotel’s weekly unplugged series (21+, no cover, 401.884.4200). Storied local bluesman PAUL GEREMIA nimbly wields the 12-string axe real good for free at Nick-a-Nee’s (401.861.7290). And harmonica maestro JAMES MONTGOMERY has his crew in tow at the Hi-Hat in Davol Square (401.543.6500). Friday (the 24th) at Jake’s Bar & Grille delivers three local indie rock acts for only $5, with THE JESSE MINUTE and Pawtucket’s FASHION FAILURES opening for COMA COMA, who release a new record next week. Other Friday highlights include a potent rock show at the Living Room with West Warwick quintet THE NOISE CAMPAIGN and SHE RIDES (also releasing an album on the 28th) and New Bedford’s A WILHELM SCREAM headlining. Head to the Living Room on Sunday (the 26th) to catch ska-infused locals THE NICE UPS, Boston’s EVERYBODY OUT!, and Cali-based quintet THE AGGROLITES ($12).
