A busy SATURDAY (the 8th) finds savvy barroom vets HOPE ANCHOR and the mighty SIX STAR GENERAL at the Penalty Box (401.331.8545) on North Main Street, while the Blackstone (401.726.2181) hosts a wild one with GIRL HAGGARD and Jay Berndt's REVIVAL PREACHERS, performing a set of originals followed by Bowie's Ziggy Stardust in its entirety. Whoa. Jerky's (401.621.2244) hosts a CD release party for 8TH WUNDAH, including local heavy-hitters Chachi, Milez Grimez and, yes, Swann Notty, among plenty more. On SUNDAY (the 9th), Firehouse 13 presents THE EVERYTHING PARTY, with a "Massacre Under the Big Top," including sets from THE SALT WIVES and THE [VIENNAGRAM:], burlesque action provided by the Danger!Danger Birds, jugglers, magicians, and special guests through the night. Free admission from 6-8 pm.
