GARY’S BACK FROM NOVA SCOTIA
Casa Diablo regular, the musician and actor Gary Cummings, moved to Nova Scotia a few years ago but, in some ways, he never left. When he’s back in town, he usually lines up a gig and next Thursday is no exception. Although he emails Casa Diablo that the weather’s been great in NS, he’s coming down to play at Nick-a-Nee’s next Thursday, May 20, from 8 to 11 pm.

Gary will be accompanied by the ragged all-star ensemble known as “NOU40.” While it is P+J’s understanding that this stands for “No One Under 40,” we have never figured out if the “40” was an IQ or chronological age requirement. We know most of the players in this outfit which, actually, is why we ask. Gary also informs us that they’ll be making a live recording at this gig. We don’t know if there are any other “live at Nick-a-Nees” discs out there, but this promises to be an especially raucous and fun night. Well worth your while, even if you’re not “over 40.”
