Gov-2010-vote-main

In our typical Portland Phoenix format, here’s a one-by-one look at all the folks who claim they want to be Maine’s next governor. (In our book, anyone crazy enough to say they want that job probably has done something to karmically deserve it.)

READ: "Preparing for June 8"

We asked them to name a state department where they would cut spending, another where they would increase spending, an issue on which they disagree with some or all of their opponents, the type of fuel they use in their primary campaign vehicle, how much combined state income and Maine property tax they paid in 2009, the type of health insurance they have (and the company providing it), and the means by which they connect to the Internet at home.

Republicans  PAUL LEPAGE  and  BRUCE POLIQUIN  and Democrat  PAT MCGOWAN  did not respond to multiple inquiries and requests for information.
