. . . If you haven't noticed, former Providence Head Ramrod and current radio talk host Buddy Cianci has been steadily losing weight and is looking great. Regardless of what you think of the ever-controversial Bud-I, this is something that everyone should agree is terrific. Anyone, especially a public figure, making the effort to take care of his health is an inspiration. So good for you, Buddy.
. . . WaterFire, due to the poor economy and slumping support, has hosted fewer events in downtown Providence the last couple of summers. But kudos to the people, organizations, and corporations that have held in there and kept it vibrant. This has been a very good summer for WaterFire.
. . . Earlier this week, the state Supreme Court swore in former Secretary of State Susan Farmer as the head of the state elections board in a brief ceremony. Yes, Muffy is a dear friend of mine but she is also (and I believe this is a universally accepted fact) an exemplary public servant who has always served with true distinction. Kudos and congrats.
