MassUniting is hoping that the tactics that have been gaining ground against abusive banks here in Boston will spread to other cities.
"It's not going to be business as usual around here any more," organizer Melonie Griffiths told the standing-room crowd at City Life's September 20 bank tenant meeting.
"This foreclosure crisis has given us a new fight, and we know that we're being preyed upon," she said. "When [banks] know that a group will fight again and again, and make them look foolish, they have to deal with us. We're not the problem. The deregulation of banks is the problem."
