Passing away on June 28 was the Rev. Alcide Barnaby. Jorge knew Al Barnaby nearly his entire life. Al was the first openly gay and partnered priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island and a longtime activist in the LGBT community in Rhode Island. He was also a spiritual leader, educator, and inspiration to P&J. Our condolences to his husband (they were married last October) and life partner of 30 years, Daniel Harvey.

Best wishes to longtime state Senator Rhoda Perry (D-Providence), who announced this week that she would not be running for re-election.

. . . A tip of the sombrero to Anderson Cooper for "coming out" as a gay man (did anyone ever think that he was straight?). If more superior behaviorists would come out, perhaps all the stupidity and prejudice would go away much sooner.
