SPACE's inaugural theatrical production! "Sex, Secrets, and Performance-Art Video-Blogging: Speech and Debate," by Stephen Karam, is a tale of teenagers in Oregon finding theatrical catharsis. NOVEMBER 2010: SLANT
SLANT is now a regular event at SPACE, but this was the beginning. Inspired by The Moth and coordinated by the Telling Room, SLANT presents community members, writers, and performers telling their stories, sans notes or props, to a live audience.
MARCH 2012: GIRL WALK // ALL DAY
Girl Walk // All Day is an urban dance adventure from director Jacob Krupnick, set to the album All Day by mash-up house DJ Girl Talk. SPACE's take on it incorporated multiple HD projections and provided both seating and dancing room, then culminated the evening with live DJ sets.
