We're looking forward to seeing the raffle-loving people of East Providence on Saturday and perhaps folks from other cities and towns as well. There were a lot of winners from Seekonk last year.


CELEBRATION AT THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE

This Friday, September 7, the always exciting Pawtucket Arts Festival kicks off with the annual "Taste of Pawtucket" festival gala in front of the Slater Mill on Roosevelt Avenue.

As always, there will be zydeco music, this time featuring the Slippery Sneakers band (with heartthrob Jack Moore on drums) and J.J. Caillier & the Zydeco Knockouts. The main attraction (aside from an opportunity to hang out with the fine people of Pawtucket) is the food provided by dozens of the city's restaurants.

You are likely to find Jorge hanging around at the Rasoi table for no other reason than the fact that he loves Indian food. This, of course, will not stop him from visiting many other vendors. This year he promises that he will not have to exit in a wheelbarrow after sampling far too many fabulous foods from the center of the universe.
