Interview: Nate Silver explains

By PETER KADZIS  |  November 5, 2012

How hectic is your professional life these days? Oh, it's kind of insane, yeah. I have thousands of emails and hundreds of voice messages unattended. With the book, I was definitely pretty busy over this four-year cycle. It's probably a 70-hour-a-week job. I try to compress it, to prioritize. There are not enough hours in the day. I manage as best I can.

How tired of this election are you? I think that will depend . . . on the November 7th result. I guess I'll have to have two different attitudes ready. I'm not totally burned out. And I'm not sick of this election. But I am battle hardened.
