46, MARRIED, FRANKLIN
ATTORNEY AT NIXON PEABODY
Vallee served as a state representative for 18 years, rising as high as Majority Leader before his resignation earlier this year. His work at Nixon Peabody includes government relations and public policy.
Active in the U.S. Army and Massachusetts National Guard, he's earned the rank of Colonel. Our panelists loved Vallee's tailored suit style and soldierly appearance. Smart, charming, handsome, and kind, the panel knows the former rep has "style in spades."
Vallee credits his father and his experience running Patrick Kennedy's first Rhode Island legislative campaign in 1988 for starting him down the political path.

What you do: I am an attorney in the Health Care and Private Equity Practice Groups.
One experience that made you glad to do this work: (In my former Beacon Hill role) I feel that I made a significant difference on many occasions helping individuals work through the red tape of government and to providing individual citizens access to significant policy decision making processes.
Other jobs: Former 18-year state representative and majority leader; colonel in the US Army; Massachusetts National Guard.
Other activities: Common Cause Legislative Award for Ethics Reform
Path to Beacon Hill: Living with former Congressman Patrick Kennedy and running his first race for the Legislature in Rhode Island. The influence of my father, who has been active in local politics for about 50 years.
Personal style: Business suit/politician dress
Favorite thing about working in the State House: Working with the talented staff who show up every day for very little pay or recognition.
One thing you would change to make State House work more "beautiful": It needs to be restored to its original beauty and splendor.
