Spoiling for a fight

Letters to the Boston editor, June 16, 2006
By EDITORIAL  |  June 14, 2006

To rebut your editorial in the June 2 issue of the Boston Phoenix (“Gabrieli’s Promise”) in the simplest of terms, most politically active people I know are saying just the opposite — not only that Gabrieli “bought” his way on to the ballot, but now the other candidates will have to spend more money and the vote could potentially be split. Since Democrats pitted against one another is exactly what gives the Republicans ammunition to keep sailing into office, this plays right into Kerry Healey’s hands. It is certainly NOT helpful in terms of getting a Democrat back in the corner office.
