Dustin Sohn has a breakout performance in his role as Maeda. Sohn, an illustration and film student, studied the president on YouTube for hours to perfect his endearingly boyish singsong voice ("HeLLO stuDENTS!'') and furrowed brow. With his CVS peepers and maroon scarf coiled around his neck, Sohn is a dead ringer for the computer whiz from MIT. "It's a little weird,'' says Sohn. "I've never looked like anyone before.''

As part of the show, a seat in the audience is reserved for Sohn, but labeled "Maeda.'' Sohn is worried that his twin, if he comes, might sit there, thinking it's reserved for him — a mix-up that could prompt Sohn to say something like, "I'm John, John, and this is, yeah, my seat.'' Considering Maeda's propensity for the abstract, Sohn says, "It could get very confusing.''
