EJ PAVING, WAKEFIELD "After I got fired from the Black Rose I took a job with EJ Paving in Wakefield. It was the best job I've ever had in my life, because it was the fucking hardest thing I'd ever done — I was 19 and I felt like I had one foot in the grave. I'm still cool with all of those guys — Tommy, EJ, and all of them are all coming to the [August 28] fight. They're all crazy, nutty fucking Italian dudes. They'd throw buckets at you, and scream at you the whole time you're running wheelbarrows. There's a kid named Al Filofa who was my age at EJ Paving who I used to go head to head with every day. This is how retarded we were: we'd run wheelbarrows against each other just to see who was the best, and during lunch breaks we would punch each other in the stomach to see who could take the most body shots."
