10. Monkey of Enslaved: Odyssey to the West
His eye make-up looks like a Top Model shoot gone wrong, and his hairstyle looks more Super Saiyan than super sexy, but from the neck down, Monkey’s built like a god. See that gold band on his head? That would be a mind-control device, and that young lady next to him is holding the reins. She can give him jolts of pain at will, and if she dies, the headband will kill Monkey as well. It’s not often you see a female character asserting that much power over a male one, and whether her enslavement of Monkey can be justified is just one of the many questions about free will that Enslaved raises. We’d love to have Monkey as our personal protector, too – but preferably if he’d do it of his own volition.
