So, against her better, med-becalmed judgment, Carrie does get sucked back in ("If you're going to ask me to go to Beirut, just ask me already!"). Inevitably, the pressure begins to send her into another downward spiral, as Carrie starts to doubt herself. After all, she blew the Brody thing: "I've never been so sure and so wrong." So of course the bosses who've sucked her back in don't trust her. As she confides to Saul, "I wouldn't believe me either."
