The story line mostly fleshes out what we didn’t see in the movie, such as how Batman was able to kill the lights at Arkham Asylum. Most of the film’s actors came on board to provide the game’s dialogue, and a unlockable video interview with the cast members confirms that every one of them mailed it in. In the movie, when Batman tells Flass, "Swear to me!", it sounds like an edict from the deepest bowels of hell. In the game, it could be a suggestion over coffee.
Batman Begins’ short length and limited replayability are sure signs that the most important goal for its creators was meeting the June 15 release date. The core concepts deserve to be expanded on in a longer and original Batman game. But this one is better than anyone could have expected.
