What's the most difficult dog you ever had to deal with on the show?
The most difficult dog is never a dog.
Right. What's the most difficult owner?
The one that keeps the mind very closed, the one that doesn't really want to participate. We have shot many times where the show never made it on the air because the human never followed through. There's a lot of people that are involved when you come to shoot a show, and when you come to people's home and you're putting in all this effort. It costs no money to the person who calls us to their home, no money whatsoever. But it costs the show money, and for people not to follow through is kind of devastating, financially and emotionally, for everybody. You know, the camera guys have been with me for five years, so they really really know what we're doing. They're shooting somebody's life, but at the same time, it's going to impact other people's lives, and the goal is to help that dog that we came to help, and they know that it's not up to the dog. So everybody feels sad when the human doesn't follow through, and the human feels it's not him.
