7. Red Faction: Guerrilla (THQ)
Red Faction: Guerrilla (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC) is about smashing stuff up real good. Sure, it has an anti-imperialism storyline, and multi-player modes with a progressive ranking system, and all the other trappings of your typical big-budget release, but in the end it's a game where you knock down buildings, using everything from a sledgehammer to a miniature black hole. It's even more fun than you'd expect. The controller-passing mini-game, "Wrecking Crew," dispenses with the bad guys altogether to let you focus on your true foe: real estate.
