Sapp's attorney quickly issued a boilerplate apology. "He sincerely apologizes to the NFL family and fans for taking away any distraction from today's big game," said the lawyer, Christopher Lyons. "We ask that everyone reserve judgment on the matter until all the facts come out in a court of law."
Sixty-three points for Sapp, who apparently needs to be reminded that head slaps are illegal off the field as well as on.
